DJ

Level 1: Intro to DJing

Students will learn:

  • Brief overview of the history, culture, and the art of the DJ as well as possible careers in the DJ business

  • Basic Functions of the DJ Equipment (Turntables, Mixer, Needles, Slipmats, Vinyl Records, Speakers, Etc.)

  • Introduction to Serato Scratch Live, the Industry Standard DJ Vinyl Emulation Software

  • Hand/Eye/Ear Fundamentals

    The Student will learn the basic settings and functions of the camera. They will learn about basic compositions and exposure to capture great photos. This class will develop the student’s eye to see the world like a photographer. By the end of the class the students will be able to master the basic use of his or her Digital Camera/ Camera Phone.
